Some evidenced based therapeutic approaches that I commonly use include, but are not limited to: Cognitive Behavioral therapy, aspects of Dialectical Behavioral therapy and mindfulness techniques. I use these to:

1.Focus on supporting you in increasing your self-esteem, accessing your inner strength and resilience; helping you to learn more about yourself by exploring your thoughts and feelings.

2. Provide tools to learning how to manage the difficult emotions that difficult experiences can have, so that you can meet your identified goals.

3. Normalize that healing is less about identifying our weaknesses and more about understanding our fragile parts; shifting from a place of unlearning maladaptive thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that keep us stuck, and going to places that help us soar.

When I see clients, we focus not only on what you are struggling with, but also what you have done well in the past or are currently doing well. I believe it is as equally important to focus on strengths and effective skills, as it is to focus on weaknesses and maladaptive behaviors, so that you can gain greater awareness and deeper meaning on your healing journey.
